Time Limits Per Package
- Probate Essentials – $1,995: File support available for up to 3 months from engagement.
- Probate Plus – $3,995: File support available for up to 6 months.
- Probate Complete – $5,995+: File support available for up to 6 months.
- If your matter remains unresolved beyond the designated timeframe, a new engagement agreement or hourly retainer may be required.

Time exceeding these limits may be billed at standard hourly rates:
- Senior Attorney: $399/hour
- Junior Attorney: $299/hour
- Paralegal: $149/hour
- You will be notified before any overage is incurred.
Scope of Legal Services
Third-Party Fees & Client Costs
The following expenses are not included in any package and are the client’s responsibility:
- Court filing fees
- Inventory filing fees (based on estate value)
- Certified mail or publication costs
- Process server or courier fees
- Appraisals, accounting, tax preparation, or real estate/title services
- These are paid directly by the client and must be coordinated with the firm in a timely manner.
Estate Value Requirement
Client Responsibility
Clients must:
- Respond to communication within a reasonable time
- Provide complete and accurate information
- Promptly pay any required fees or third-party costs
- Unresponsiveness or failure to cooperate may delay the case or result in file closure.
Limited Scope Representation Disclosure
Quicken Law, PLLC provides legal services on a limited-scope representation basis in accordance with Michigan Rule of Professional Conduct 1.2(b). This means:
- The attorney-client relationship is limited only to the specific tasks and legal services outlined in the applicable service package (Essentials, Probate Plus, or Probate Complete).
- Quicken Law is not responsible for representing the client in any matters beyond the agreed-upon scope, including but not limited to contested litigation, tax filings, ongoing estate administration beyond package limits, or communications with third parties not directly required under the scope.
- The client retains full responsibility for legal tasks not expressly included in this agreement.
- The client has been advised of the benefits and risks of limited-scope representation and consents knowingly and voluntarily.
- Any additional legal work or expanded representation will require a separate engagement agreement and may be billed at the firm’s standard hourly rates.
